Trough out 2007, 40,518 calls were received at the rape crises centers. Of this number, 8,729 calls were from victims who reported their assault for the first time:
Women- 7419 calls. Men- 1292 calls

70% of the victims were acquainted with the assaulter.
43.7% of the attacks took place with in the victim's house, 14.2% of the attacks were in the outdoors 5.7% of the attacks were in educational institutions , 7.6% of the attacks were in recreation areas, 1.9% were in the army, 8.9% in the work place, 3.7% of the attacks were pointed at victims waiting for treatment, 2.3% of the attacks took place on public transportation, 3.6% are of different categories and 39% of the assaults were not reported.
